"Voice Level" Week

This week in school, students are reading a book called, "Decibella and Her Six Inch Voice".  It is a story about a girl who needs to learn to control her voice level in different situations.   Callahan students are learning how to use the various voice levels in different areas of the school. 

4 - Outdoor Voice…recess, school yard

3-  Strong Speaker Voice…when giving an oral report in class or speaking on a stage

2 - Table Talk…only people at your table can hear you

1 - Whisper Voice (6-inch voice)…someone can stand six inches next to you and not hear what you are saying..partner reading, library

0 - Silent Voice…school hallways, silent reading
